The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

Date(s): November 1 - November 10, 2024
Location: The Exhibition Place

Come for the fancy horse riding and stay for the elite butter sculptures. Over the past century, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (best known to Toronto locals as “The Royal”) has become the largest indoor agricultural and equestrian event on earth.

The Royal was founded in 1922 as a simple livestock show at the Exhibition Place Coliseum. Since then, it’s been given the Queen’s approval and grown to epic proportions. Things to do at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair include perusing thousands of animals showcased by proud breeders and farmers, as well as hundreds of vendors, featuring foods from renowned Canadian chefs, craft beer and cider distilleries, and a bevy of visual artists.

A true family-friendly event, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is a grand opportunity for all ages to learn about everything from beekeeping and wool auctioning to cow milking and the joys of artisan jam.
