By bus
Two main companies offer hop-on, hop-off double-decker bus tours around Toronto.
City Sightseeing Toronto lets you choose from over 24 official stops and the ticket is valid for up to seven days (as well as Niagara). Gray Line Toronto also offers excursions to Niagara and Ottawa in addition to tours of Toronto.
On foot
Heritage Toronto runs a range of walking tours (and a few bike and bus tours, too) from April to October. So whether you’re interested in learning more about Toronto’s architecture, exploring natural heritage or hearing stories of our diverse city and its past, there a Heritage Toronto tour for you.
Bruce Bell, one of Toronto’s most respected historians, walks you through the city’s past. Toronto Greeters is a free service where Torontonians show visitors points of interest and their favourite Toronto spots.
Offered May through September, Toronto Architecture Tours allow you to see and learn about some of Toronto’s most significant architecture. Highlights include contemporary buildings by outstanding local and international architects that have enhanced Toronto’s streets and neighbourhoods while transforming the city.
The Tour Guys offer many free public walking tours in the summer as well as tours themed around beer, bacon, graffiti, ghosts, death and disasters. Stroll popular neighbourhoods like Kensington Market, the beautiful waterfront or historic Old Town Toronto.
